APPLY TODAY TO BE A CELEBRATION ON THE HILL AMBASSADOR Dear Relay For Life Volunteer, As a recent Relay For Life University participant, you have shown your commitment as a volunteer leader in the fight against cancer. You know the power of the American Cancer Society lies in the commitment of community volunteers coming together to make a difference. That is why we are asking for your help to bring voices from your community to Washington through the Society’s Celebration on the Hill this September. The event is a Relay For Life – style gathering on the steps of Capitol Hill that will show our country's lawmakers how the American Cancer Society is waging the fight against cancer nationwide. You can get involved by applying to be a Celebration on the Hill Ambassador. Ambassadors from your community will join thousands of others from across the nation in this powerful effort. While Celebration on the Hill will be the major event for our Ambassadors, they will actually stay active for a two-year period influencing public policy in their communities. To find out more, or to apply to be an Ambassador, visit http://www.southatlantic-cancer.org/celebrationonthehill/ (you can apply online by selecting the link at the bottom of this webpage). The December 9 application deadline is quickly approaching. |
